lyrics

PALE WHITE NOTHINGNESS

The moment is gone, my thoughts are drowning in the remains
Dim lights in the distance, a pathetic scenery
Leaves carried by the wind like the essence of my soul
The dance of St. Vitus in the looming void

Mere despair is what’s left at the dreary end of every day past
Where is my will, where is the urge to thrive? I need to let go in order to embrace
My desires are dragging my body across this last barrier of paltriness
Eyes are chasing reflections of future - a distant promise of fading pain

A white horizon, an icy wind easing the rush of blood in my veins
Finally breathing - stretching my limbs
Finally silence - no voices, no fight

I'm nothing more than raw material for the seasons
Floating in between, scarred and shattered by their forces
Fed by the unmeasurable pulse of day and night
Until the heavenly bodies finally die

Haunting pictures of miserable moments
chasing away all the love an joy once felt
Scenes of long forgotten darkness
spinning through my inner world - so fragile and bleak
Give me something to hold on to,
my body is weak from years of suffering
Grant me one single moment where nothing is hurting
and future is more than just a word once said

Let me lay down my head in these fields
of pale white and well-known nothingness
Let me sleep by your silent side, oh mother earth
Let me forget about the distance I feel
Give me patience - a reasons to endure,
a single impulse to fill my lungs again
Shut my eyes and bury my mind
in your eternal womb of certitude

I'm calling the waters, the bringers of life
to fill my veins and cleanse my inner most
I'm calling the soil, the carrier of fertility
to be my leading host
I'm calling the winds of the realms above
to blow away the stench of decay and idleness
I'm calling the fires, the bringers of light
to burn down the borders and brighten my path

With words of anger I'm carving my desires
into fragments of smoldering air

When my journey is ending, when I'm free of desires and pain,
bring me back to where spirits dwell to teach in vain.

Wenn meine Reise endet, wenn ich frei bin von Schmerz und Begehren,
bring mich zurück dorthin wo die Geister leben und vergebens lehren.

Where spirits dwell to teach in vain
